  DV Footage into FCP 7

  Trying to log/capture DV footage into FCP 7. FCP sees my VTR deck JVC BR-HD50, timecode works, remote settings work, but preview screen shows color bars and “PREVIEW DISABLED”.

  Called Apple support and went through every DV setting and even tried to capture from my camera into FCP. ApS says FCP 7 doesn’t know what to do with the DV footage. FCP 6.5 will play DV footage fine. But not FCP 7. Any suggestions??? Normally shoot HDV, but we’re pulling some footage from old mini-DV tapes for project.
