shooting in low light with the 700u
Posted by Mitch Hardison on July 12, 2010 at 2:05 amI had a lot of trouble tonight getting a clear shot in some low light situations. I am filming 720p 24fps. Any tips on the settings I should use to get a good picture in low light with this camera?

July 12, 2010 at 2:06 pmHow dark is it? What kind of environment are you shooting in?
This camera isn’t great in low light. Add some light.

July 14, 2010 at 8:03 pmHow much color correction are you doing with these shots? How high is your gain? How much light are you using?

July 15, 2010 at 2:45 amno color correction and in the really low light shots I put the gain all the way up, 18 i think. I shot a play tonight under good stage lights and the footage looks great. You were right when you said these cameras aren’t that good in low light.
