  GZ-MG275 codec

  I have a GZ-MG275 Everio and I can’t get any video off as my computer doesn’t have the codec. What codec do I need?

  I have had some experience with some of the other Everio models. The ones we have for training use a Long GOP MPEG2 structure that saves as a .MOD file. We are able to open and convert these files to AIC (Apple Intermediate Codec) for post with MPEG Streamclip. If you can open it, you can most likely convert it to something usable. Don’t forget that MPEG Streamclip can also do batch jobs. So load up all of your clips and go make a sandwich.
