  spontaneous re-boot on SR-MV45U deck

  We have a SR-MV45U VHS/DVD deck that we use occasionally to record shows. This unit is about a year and a half old, and doesn’t have all that many hours on it. Over the past month, it has been used almost daily to record performances of our Christmas show. From time to time, when recording to DVD-R in 2 hour mode, the unit will “spontaneously reboot”. By this I mean it will stop recording, and the display will say “LOADING”, with no intervention by anyone around it. When this happens, there is no way to make it “come back” other than just waiting, or unplugging power to the unit. We are using Verbatim discs in the unit.

  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing this and how we can prevent this?
