  JVC GY-HD110U – playback speed issue.

  I just recorded 3 hours of footage on this camera, and tried to play it back (in the same camera). It plays at double speed. I read through the manual, and checked on-line , and it appears to me that this camera only shoots in an SP mode. I am sure that I’m overlooking something obvious, but enlighten me if you can. I need to ingest this footage from this camera, and right now I can’t seem to do that. Thanks.

  Aha!

  In the menu, the playback tape format was set to the wrong kind of tape. I shot on miniDV, and it was set at DVCam. One click of a button, and it plays back fine.

  Getting used to a new camera. Hope this helps someone else down the line.
