  Shifted Heads?

  Hi,

  I have a Sony HVR-M25U HDV/DV tape deck. I’ve been recording live shows to tape on this thing for about 2-3 months now. After the show I capture the videos and clean them up a bit before creating a final output.

  The deck is still recording great but as of a few weeks ago it changed a bit. Now when I capture footage to my NLE there is a blue line that is a few pixels wide running down the left side of my image. It looks like the whole image was bumped to the right a little bit and now there is some noise on the left side. This is frustrating because now before I do the final output I either have to blow up the image 2-3% to lose the blue line (but lose video quality), or I have to crop 2-3% of the outer rim of the image (throwing off the full screen feeling).

  If anyone knows what the probelm is and how/if I can fix it. Please fill me in. I’d greatly appreciate it!
