  Ongoing JVC BR-DV6000 16×9 flag problem

  We use our DV studio recorder for making dubs from Beta-sp or Digital Betacam…..via component feed on the back of the deck.

  Unfortunately, this cool machine likes to introduce a 16×9 flag in the vertical interval every 10-20 minutes whenever I record from an analog source.

  So whenever we capture DV dubs recorded in this machine to hardrive via firewire, whether viewing the capture in windows media player, adobe premiere, Avid or whatever application you have for viewing the captured .avi files, the picture squeezes to letterbox whenever this flag goes by.

  I have shipped the Deck to JVC to solve this problem twice and they can’t fix it.

  Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?
