i seem to have this issue where after effects plays sound thru two outputs depending on if i have effects enabled on the audio layer or if there a precomps.

i have my output mapped t built in audio, so i can listen to it on a headphone.
my computer is also the computer that has the biggest audio library so we use it in our studio to play music from ( itunes, which is output thru a decklink card)
till 10.4 this worked great because i had detour installed, but after upgrading to 10.5 they dropped the support for that.
so i use the hardware mapping in after effcets itself.
it works, but only when i have a composition with audio and single layers.
the moment i add a precomp to the composition or an effect to the audio layer, the output switches to decklink, or at least to whichever output the system is set to.
it s not a major issue, but i dont want to drive the guys in mys tudio crazy by blasting my ram previews thru the music constatly.
and the switching to silence and headphones is very annoying in my workflow.

    anyone any idea?

    thanks!
    Henk
