TASCAM Audio Interface Problems
Hey guys,
I’m pretty new to the audio scene, so I feel like I may have made a huge mistake. I’m running a MacBook Pro 2017 (with a usb-C adapter) and I am trying to run my external mic through a TASCAM us-122 interface. I am have several problems getting this setup to work. Not only am I unable to run the software off the discs provided (due to lack of an external or optical CD drive), but the software online is either “damaged” or unavailable (https://tascam.com/product/us-122/downloads/). Furthermore, the USB light on the interface itself does not light up, nor does my computer recognize the interface as an interface (recognized as “vender specific device”). The only indication that I know the interface at least partially functions is the light on the phantom power. I do have Wine installed, though I have not found it useful yet. I also have bootcamp to Windows 10, but I would prefer to avoid that if possible.
Thank in advance for the help and sorry for the ignorance.
