  Sennheiser AVX stays on

  I have a problem with my AVX XLR plugin unit – the power light stays on.

  I did temporarily plug it into an H6 just to test and everything seems fine.
  Then plugged it in to my Sony and everything worked fine.

  However the Red light on the side, “check”, stays on even when the unit is not on the camera.

  Any ideas what that could be? and how to fix it?

  You can see the manual online at the URL below.
  On page 7 is a description of the red button (power and “check”), and what the various LED colors mean.

  It appears that the red button turns the receiver on/off, and is also used to check the battery state.
  Your reported symptoms would seem to indicate that you are not turning the unit off,
  And the red LED means that the battery needs recharging.

  thanks very much for that, I didn’t have the manual.

  I had tried various button pushes. This morning I tried a “long press” and it worked.
  I had even tried disconnecting the battery overnight but it remembered it was on when the battery was back.
