  Zoom HN4 Screen Issue

  Hi everyone:

  I’ve just bought a brand new HN4 Zoom recorder. A friend of mine brought it from NY. I first plugged it to the AC and turned it on. It perfectly worked. The screen appeared perfectly and could make a quick recording test. Everything fine at this point.
  Then, I charged a brand new pack of AA batteries to try the zoom that way. So I installed the batteries and turned on the zoom again. The zoom starts, the mic button turns red, and the stereo light turns on also. But there ir nothing in the screen. I cannot see anything. It seems to navigate perfectly, but I cannot see it. The recorded didn’t fall down to the flour or something like that. I’m living in Mexico and I don’t know if it could be a electricity issue or what. My friend is coming back to NY on Tuesday and I should give ir to him back. But It could be perfect to solve this problem because I really need the recorder for a documentary. I would really appreciate any information about it. Thank you.

  Hmm,

  I’m thinking, “broken.”

  Maybe a badd connector or solder joint.
