Got a Panasonic GH2 camera and will be shooting indoor interviews (inside a hotel room) in a few weeks. Between the sennheiser g2 and sony ecm-44b lav mic which one do you recommend? I’m not much of an audio expert so that’s why I thought that simply plugin the sony mic to the camera would be easier. I’m quite afraid of wireless transmitters and receivers ( interferences).

    So what do you say?

    Thanks in advance!

If the cable on the 44B is long enough to allow you to be at the proper distance than that’s the way to go. Simple & uncomplicated. Just remember to unclip the mic after the interview before you move.

    Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. It’s simpler.

What about the sound quality? are they both good?

What “both” are you talking about? One is a wireless system the other is a microphone. Used together properly you will get very good results. Personally I would use both together. Allows you much more creative freedom with your camera.

The sony ecm-44b lavalier mic is a broadcast quality professional quality mic. It is (almost) idiot proof and delivers excellent sound quality, even in noisy environments.
