    Darn, Peter!

If you can’t figure it out, we’re all in trouble!

You’ve been to the preference panel for controllers, right?

    Does Korg have a forum?

    Success.
After while (over 30 mins) of trying I dicovered a combination of USB and MIDI driver updates and ( and telling the pro tools 10 that it had a M audio keyboard attached finally allowed me to write automation on the faders. It became a “wont be beaten” crusade in the end.
Its no icon, but it didnt cost that of an icon. (about £30)

Extra wine this evening for me.

    Peter,

I’m looking at a ap to control Pro Tools 10 from my new iPad. There seems to be one, but I don’t know how accurate it is for fine editing.

    Regards,

    Ty

Youll be talking about V-Control from Neyrinck??

I have seen it, read about it, and even considered buying an ipad to have it, until i discovered that it cant be used over the web. I wanted to control my studio PtHD rig from a hotel room (somewhere hotter than here) on an IP link. Seems it only works on wifi which rather restircts you to being at the machine. i guess it dos give you faders etc etc.

Neyrinck are a v good company and the demos i have seen on youtube etc etc look pretty cool. Control of parameters looked fine and accurate. I guess if i had an ipad, id be having it at a glance, but I do have a habit of buying trinkets.

    see
    https://www.pro-tools-expert.com/home-page/2012/5/16/neyrinck-release-preview-of-new-hi-res-v-control-skins-for-i.html

As on infomercials in the US—–but wait, theres more!!

This page suggests that v control on ipad also controls Media Composer – NOW IM INTERESTED!!. Off to the applestore at lunch.

    https://www.neyrinck.com/news?full=false

for the price Id go for it. £32! (50$) Costs twice that to nearly fill my cars tank with petrol.

    Cheers

    Peter,

Yes, we are brothers from other mothers! I saw V-control and thought it was very cool, but wanted to make sure it was functional for dialog editing before parting with the money.

My iPad3 is a little stupid in some of the apps; touch the screen on the button and nothing happens the first few times. That would take the smile away for me. I have reached out to them for a demo to see how well the editing works, but have not heard back from them.

    Hi Peter,

i’m having the same problem between the Nanokontrol 2 and pro tools 10. How did you solve it in the end? I downloaded the drivers, and the editor, tried to set the Nkontrol as a M-audio keyboard, still doesn’t work… What am i missing? Please, help me out.
