Hardwire Lav mic or line level?
If you are using a hardwire lav, do you use mic or line level?

Mic level.
This may sound obvious, but think of it this way: If the source is a mic, then it should be mic level; if it’s anything else, it should (most of the time) be line level. Mic level is just that: made for microphones.
