  FCP to Digital Performer

  I wanted to ask the people here something important that I need to figure out. I am no audio professional and in fact know very little about it.

  I have cut my film in FCP 7, have all the audio set and synched with the video. I have 22 tracks of audio between dialog, room tone, special audio effects and music.

  I am going to have a friend of mine do the final mix on the audio so we can start submitting this film to festivals. He uses Digital Performer as his mixer software and not Pro Tools. I need to know how to give him all of the audio files and all of the tracks intact so we can do the final mix on the audio. Anyone have an idea or can help me do this right?

  Hello James,

  Your friend should be able to import an OMF file into DP. Which version of Digital performer is he using? I know that versions 6 and later support OMF imports. So before you export the OMF, I suggest to confirm with him.
