Power Down/Wind Down Sound Effect On Music Track
So I’d like to distort my audio track with some kind of a power down effect. Something like unplugging a turntable with the amp still on. So the tempo and pitch winds down.
I just had to guess at which forum to post in. It’s an After Effects project with a Sonicfire soundtrack. I own the Adobe Production Studio CS4.
I haven’t been able to find an example because my searches only find sound effects of sci-fi equipment powering down but I’d like to wind down my existing music track.

You can ramp your audio track speed down on the timeline in Premiere Pro.

Ok, I need just a tiny hint as to what effect to use. I’m only familiar with the Time Warp and that doesn’t affect the audio track.

Alright, got it.
Searching around I found that I am looking for a “Tape Stop” effect. I downloaded the Vari-Fi VST plug-in for Pro Tools and it was exactly what I needed. (probably should have mentioned owning Pro Tools).

Ah-ha! I was about to post that most mixers I know go right to Vari-Fi for that effect. If you have PT and that, problem solved.

Although, since it came up, I would love to know the Premiere solution…
I am occasionally looking to do some speed effects and it would be great to have the option, but I’m not sure how to affect the audio.
