I’d like to make a text effect similar to the one in Modern Warfare 2 cutscenes, where in the text some characters randomly spin, between different cyrillic characters, and the actual characters in the text. Basically, I need an expression to change some characters in a predefined text layer to change to another character.

    Sample clip on youtube:

I know, that maybe the character offset effect is the one I should use, but I got stuck on, how to do it actually.
