  Snow Steps

  I wonder if someone can help me in a audio question.I’m making my artist video were a person is walking on snow in a silent empty space.I got some snow steps online that are ok when I listen my video with the head phone but when I listen the audio by the speakers (and aren’t bad speakers)I lost the volume.I tried with Final Cut to raise up the volume with Audio Filer/Gain but the steps lost the soft sensation of the snow and become like sand or stone foot steps.Someone has a suggestions how can I get a deep soft snow foot step ?
