Portable Audio Recorder…
To anyone that has used a portable audio recorder for recording bands or whatever like the one posted in the link below, how hard is it to match or sync of the audio to the video in post? I have a shoot coming up next month and I am looking at possibly getting an audio recorder and plug it into the audio board at the venue so I will get good clean mixed audio while I am shooting. Once I import the footage into FCP, I want to be able to sync of the clean audio. Just wondering how hard or time consuming this might be to sync and match the audio to the video.
Any thoughts?

The M-Audio Microtrack II is really nice. It has 2 RCA inputs for line in, as well as SPDIF in/out if your mixer has a SPDIF output. It records to Compact Flash card at 44.1kHz, 48kHz, and 96kHz, at 16bit or 24bit. Headphone output to monitor inputs. Can run off USB power too. Lots of advantages.

I just spoke with someone from B&H and they said I would not be able to sync up the audio to the camera because there is no timecode on the recorder but he did say I could match the audio to the video as best I could in post.

You can use PluralEyes to sync it up for you. Its for FCP and it works.
