    Hi all

    My question is..

I have ordered a Y cable that has been designed for the Olympus LS-10.. made by Trew audio.. so far so good.
The cable is mic level (consumer) what is consumer mic level? .. anyway the mono 1/8th inch mini jack audio out from the mixer, Japanese one sold as Kame in US SS302…(there is tape out.. and one marked monitor out) are -10 consumer line level.

The audio in side of the Trew Y cable is female XLR… what is best way to get my mono mini jack -10 audio signal into the female XLR consumer mic level audio in of the Trew cable? or can it be done????

    Thanks

    Hello Robin,

My suggestion is to talk to Trew about it.

    Regards,

    Hi there

Yes I have.. but thanks its a good idea..

Maybe it will work fine.. I heard that most mixer mini jacks are -10 out.. so cant imagine they would make a cable that wouldnt work at that level…??

    Thanks

    Robin,

Yes, well, one would hope, but I’m sometimes amazed at the gaps in logic.

Trew, actually has a better grip on it than most.
