A search on this thread provided some good information on rechargeable batteries, but it was from over a year ago. I was just wondering how rechargeables are working for you “currently” and, if they are working for you, which brands you prefer.

    Hey Bob,

Yes there have been some recent advances.

I read a post recently in which the user was saying it’s better to NOT run these batteries all the way down before recharging.

Also, I have been powering my location audio mixer from a portable DVD player battery for about two years now. Recharging it, of course. :), but I can be out all day and only go from four light to three on the charge level.

I’m using the 9-12 volt version. The only problem I have had is that static discharges sometimes pop the internal breaker in the battery requiring the charger to be plugged into AC power and momentarily plugged into the battery to reset the breaker. The company seems obliging to come up with a beter reset, but I haven’t talked to them in months.

    Regards,
