Audio Experts.. I have a question for you. if you follow this link, it will take you to my podcast. If you download the latest episode, it’s a video podcast, you will hear the audio recorded from my soundboard before getting into the video.. obviously there are 2 distinct sounds. my question is, in my live recording, what can i do to get as clear as a punchy sound just as it were from the video? i am finding a few things that i dont know how to address:

it seems like even when the recording is at a decent level, there isnt enough kick in the volume. i turn the gain up and i can begin to hear the bzzzzz sound that you dont hear in the video.

here is what i use and my set-up to record.

i use a PA20 Heath and Allen Sound Board
    a Tascman DP FX01
My wireless mic is a dpa 4066
    shure wireless transmitter and receiver
adobe audition 2.0 for my editing purposes

what i do is after i record, i export my audio from my tascman as a wav file.

I have my tascman connected to my sound board video a 1/4″ to XRL Mono Out

one main question is when i export as a wav format, does the eq on the tascman effect the audio or does the eq only work if i am exporting a main track. thanks for the help
