  PAL audio sync issues

  I’ve been handed a PAL DigiBeta 86 min long concert. The sound on tape was not to the client’s liking so they remixed the original 24 tracks and gave me the wav file. However the new audio completely doesn’t sync up to the old one: the drift starts pretty much right away and by the end of the programm I’m out of sync by over 16 min!!! The mixer was told that the original video was PAL but they’ve never mixed to a video so they authored the file like they would normally do for a CD. Any ideas?

  Never mind – I’m an idiot: instead of panicking I should’ve just checked the mix. There was 16 minutes worth of applause scattered all over it that needed to be removed 🙂
