  I can answer one of these for sure.

  Always record audio at 29.97.

  You can get the reason why at the websites for Location Sound and at Deneke (slates).

  Wow.
  In my experience on truck and studio shoots, everything is slaved to house (truck)TC via BNC. That is about the extent of my ability to answer your questions. 🙂
