I’m building a new system with the main purpose of video editing (miniDV). I also listen to MP3s.

In my current system I have Sound Blaster Live! Platinum 5.1 with LiveDrive (front panel box).
I want to edit videos on both systems. I use 48kHz for video editing, yet most of my MP3s are 44kHz.

I am thinking of 3 choices for the new system:
    1) move my Platinum 5.1 from current system to the new system. Get some cheap sound card for the current system
    2) get Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
    3) get Sound Blaster Live 24

I’m under impression that Platinum doesn’t resample 44kHz to 48kHz, which may be better for MP3s. That’s why I have choice 1.
About choice 2: It seems that Audigy 2 and Live24(?) do the resampling. Will this resampling hurt my MP3 playback ? If so, how much and how ?
Choice 3 is a cheaper option than 2 and still have everything I need.
I’m wondering which option will be better for me.
