    Hi

I’m importing camera data from Cinema4D and want to add a 2D layer into the 3D space. This all works fine except I want to have the solid point itself towards the camera but only on the vertical.

In Bill O’Neil’s excellent ‘Shooting for 3D Post’ tutorial, he parents a camera to Null object and uses the Y rotation of the Null to produce this kind of rotation. Trouble is, when importing from C4D, the camera’s position and point of view are keyframed, there is no rotational data.

Is there an expression I can use to translate POV and Position into ‘Y’ orientation?

    Graham
