    Hi,

I am expereiencing a lot of frustration with these video errors while rendering after effects Cmpositions.

There are 2 types of errors generated

    a) After Effetcs : Windows Media Import Error
    AEGP Plugin error
    (5027 : 12)

    b) Unspecified avi or Direct show error occured.

My source files and output files are both WMV format videos.
Project size is around 40 seconds and i have used WMV video files of 3 second each.

    Pls do suggest .

    thanks.

I’ve gotten this message for 3 reasons:

    1) The file is currupt – if you can make it again, or get the orginal file again, try that.

    2) AE just doesnt like the format – convert it to something else

    3) AE is running low on memory – could be a memory leak, or could just be too much for AE to handle.

You can set AE to flush the memory during renders – here’s a string explaining that (This is from when I asked the question):

I’ve gotton rid of 90% of my render errors by hitting the caps lock key right before rendering. This keeps the preview window from updating. And because AE isn’t rendering the frame twice(one for your output and one for the preview) you also get a small boost in render speeds.
