  Mirage Effect?

  I want to create the effect of mirage heat to enter my title-text. I want the beginning of the effect to look like if it was on top of an asphalt strip in Death Valley on a blistering summer day. Get the picture? Thx!

  (I thought I might be able to achieve the effect with Custom: Displacement Map but i didn’t see how to animate that effect. )

  HP Intel(R) Core i-7 CPU
  950 @3.07G 3.07
  RAM: 8 Gigs
  64 Bit Op System

  What i use for this kind of heat effect is “Hitfilm Ignite Heat Distortion” it’s fast and very realistic.

  Sorry, Vegas has nothing built in to create such a particular effect…
