Posted by Sascha Fau on April 4, 2019 at 10:42 pmI want to make the text appear letter by letter like shown in this link: https://streamable.com/go7mw
Is there an video effect for this or do i have to create new text files and add them 1 by 1.John Bolton replied 7 years, 1 month ago 5 Members · 9 Replies -

April 5, 2019 at 12:01 amHi Sascha,
There are many ways to makes this, here is one that is pretty simple, but not necessarily the easiest or best…..
Use Photoshop, PaintShopPro, Affinity Photo, or other photo art program and make a background, put that on track 1.
Use the same program to make the letters as you like, and put that on track 3.
Use Media generator to create a black and put that on track 2.
Animate track 2 with Pan&Crop or Track Motion.
It will look something like this in a simple quick raw form……

You can make it as fancy as you are creative, this is just my simple attempt.

Erm…? Looking closely at that example to me it’s rather a Reveal, rather than one letter at a time. The Letters appear quite Static and I can see the next Letter to be revealed in-line, ready to be revealed. If this is the case I’d suggest there’s no need for the complexity of a Graphics Package.

You might be able to download a free trial of Bluff Titler. If you can, you can use the “writer” function on added text
which will animate one letter at a time, etc.Cheers, Pete.

April 6, 2019 at 11:00 amHello Sascha
I had a think about this and came up with a reasonably simple solution if it is something like your requirement.
Made some text in Photoshop..
Then dropped it into Vegas 16- link :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DvdJrZzoerQ
Is this something along the lines you are looking to create?
Can upload the veg file for you if you want to examine and in its simplest form it is just using the mask in Pan and Crop.John

When I ‘View Post by Topic….’ and make a reply, above the message content window is a disc icon (File Upload) that when clicked will allow you to upload a file.
I have read the OP in two different forums, both members have offered several different ways to accomplish their request, but Sacha has not replied to any…..maybe on vacation!

Yes your zip file downloads.
To embed Youtube I just paste the URL directly into the message context without using the COW tools.

Ha.. thanks for that.. It was just that it does not show in the Preview. I seem to remember I did it sometime ago but could not remember the sequence.. The Creative Cow Tut shows something different which confused the issue.
Anyway if the rar veg helps anyone or guides them to a solution then so be it……
Anyway, thanks for the reply.. Much appreciated
Best regards
John
