I recently upgraded from Sony Vegas 13 to 16, and I just now noticed that, unlike in the previous version, I cannot adjust the center of the Radial Blur effect by clicking and dragging the crosshair that’s displayed on the preview screen when the Radial Blur effect is added.

It looks exactly like it did in Sony Vegas 13, except now I can’t click on or move the effect crosshair with my cursor. Instead, I have to input coordinates on the effect window, or use it’s own version of the scrolling control that is much less precise than just using my cursor.

Is this a bug? Is there a setting I somehow turned off that disabled manipulating the effect crosshair directly in the preview screen? This is really frustrating me, so any pointers would be appreciated.

Cannot seem to reproduce. I thought maybe your fx bypass might be switched on but you can makes changes and see it just not by dragging the cross hairs.

[Connor Cottrell] “I recently upgraded from Sony Vegas 13 to 16”

Well, you could try this. Check with Microsoft to see if you’re running the latest update for .NET Framework. This has been a cure for issues around VEGAS Text Generated Controls. What indicates this to me from what you say is that the Radial Controls work in the previous version of VP but not in the latest. So, what the difference? For me it’s suggesting updating whatever is needed to work, and here, that could very well be .NET. Added to which, VP13 was the last SONY offering and then from mid 2016 got handed over to MAGIX. See my thought processes? ????

I’d prefer on installation of an upgrade, here that’s from VP13 to VP16, a warning saying you/we need to update supporting M$ language would be good. It hasn’t. It used to be that there would be a need for installing C++ Redistributable and be told to do so. I’d say that that is an installation Bug. How long ago did you install VP13? Again, this points towards some earlier version of .NET Framework.
