VEGAS Video Capture Error
Hello!
I have been using Vegas for a while now. Whenever I record videos, and the recording is saved successfully, I receive an error after the recording and Video Capture is forcibly closed. Whenever I open the recorded again, I have to set all my camera settings again, so it becomes very annoying.
The message is simply:
“An error occurred during the current operation.
An Exception has occurred.”
I thought a clean install would solve this issue, but that is not the case. Does anyone know what this is about and how I can solve it?

Can you give us a step by step description of your recording procedure.
Are you recording directly from the camera via Firewire, USB, etc.
Is the material recorded on tape, CF card, SD or something else ? File type ?
We would also need the version of Vegas you’re using and basic PC specs.

Thanks for your reply. I record with a Logitech camera per USB.
The recording goes directly on my HDD or SSD, the file type is .avi. I’m using Vegas Pro 15.0 (Build 177).
Specs:
Win 10 Home
Intel Core i7-7700HQ 2.80 GHz 2.80 GHz
16GB RAM
Graphics Cards: Intel HD Graphics 630 (8GB) & GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (12GB) -

Just a shot in the dark here but it looks like you are using an older model Webcam that records in .AVI . Am I right ?
If so, you may want to try taking that file and convert it to another format like Mpeg or WMV with a constant bit rate.
Handbrake is a free software that will allow you to convert in a bunch of formats and it does work really well.
