    Hi,
To skip Introduction, just go to TIP

just short introduction as I am quite new in this forum. I use vegas since version 6 and love the interface and navigation very much. Much more than Premiere, which was not difficult the days I started. (and it was the only video editing software, which could be triggered by midi timecode as slave)
I mainly worked in Version 10 last years, as it is still much more stable than folowing versions, which were partly a complete desaster (13 almost killed a job). Skipped 15 for very first time as 14 was still annoying.
With 16 I am back in. Still not as stable as 10, but better.
Vegas last chance. (Stopped while playback and crashed some secs ago. Dare you!)

I am using hundreds of markers, very cool and flexible via copy paste to After Effects etc.
Anyway, they can be really anoying. No hide function since ages. Can’t understand why.

    TIP:
Simply cut all markers in Edit Details an paste them into a writer to “hide” markers.
    Paste them back to unhide.

    Step by step:

    -Open Edit Detail window.
-Open Windows editor or some other simple writer.
    -In Edit Details choose Marker.
-click on #1 field left from first marker
    -scroll down to last
-shift+click on last to select all
-CTRL+X for cut = All markers are gone
    – go to EDITOR and CTRL+V to paste your markers there.
You can save them now, if you want, for later use.

If you want to have the markers back in Vegas.
    -Go to your writer.
    -CTRL+A for select all
-Go to Vegas- Edit Detail – Marker – click on top
-CTRL+V and the markers are back in Vegas.

Hope this is helpful – no need for any scripts or commercial plugs.
Anyway, if Magix would like to do some “Magix” – make your tool more stable! Add a real “hide marker” ????

    Cheers.
