  speedometer of a race car

  I need to draw a speedometer. what is the best way to draw the marks around the inner circle of the speedometer in after effects and what is the best behavior the pointer should do to look like a real speedometer of a race car getting ready to start race.thanks

  Start off with a Grid and then precompose. Then mask off until you get a ruler-like image. Apply Distort>Polar Coordinates to make the line into a circle.
