Hello everyone, not sure if this is common or if i gloriously messed up. But for manually creating subtitles in Vegas Pro 13, i first created a text media and put in whatever i needed to, copied it and then replaced the words inside. That worked for a while, i think over 150 subtitles at this point, but now whenever i copy and paste a new one in, all the previous text media change to that one word and i have no idea why.

Did i perhaps accidentally do something? Or maybe is there a text media limit in Vegas Pro 13 or is this just an easy fix that i have absolutely no knowledge of? Anyways, please help me if you can. 🙂

    Hi Hunter,

When you paste a title, two options appears, 1st “Create a new copy of the source media”, or 2nd “Create a reference to the original media”. If we select the 1st, any changes you make to the pasted title will only effect that title. If we use the 2nd, any changes you make to the pasted title will change the other titles from which you pasted and selected the 2nd option.

Selecting option #2 is common reason for titles to act as you describe. Which option are you selecting when you copy and paste a title media?

    Best Regards……George

I was indeed creating a reference. I don’t know how that happened, but now my efficiency has once again improved and i thank you kindly for that. 🙂
