    just got a new computer

    Gigabyte P-70
    Intel I7 7700
    NVIDA 1060 6gig graphics card
    512 SSD
    1 terabyte 7200rpm
    32gigs Ram

Vegas pro 13 keeps nose diving. It gets hung up when I try to drag and drop basic jpgs into it “No Longer Responding” errors. I am editing a doc on JFK speech writer Ted Sorensen its a big file made up of various kinds of content. I have increased the dynamic ram from 200 to 400. I have engaged the GPU acceleration. I run everything off the 512 SSD.

    Suggestions?

    [Brent Holland] “Suggestions?”

    Something is choking VP.

1] Make sure all that Media complies with your Project Settings. This helps VP to do the Math calculations and not get choked.

2] RAM set aside is for Building Ram Previews. Try reducing to 100.

    3] Turn OFF GPU.

Brent, something is choking VP and/or your Settings asking too much of VP.

BTW, what is the list of your Media variables? What are your Project Settings?
