  • Normalize left and right separate?

Say I’ve goofed on a live recording and my stereo ambient mics were slightly off balance. Left is about 4-6db louder than right. Is there any way to “normalize” the channels separately? I know in Adobe Audition, I could select a channel independently and do that.

    Thanks.

I’d just duplicate the track and then select left track on one and right track on the other and normalize them individually that way.

    Thanks, Roger.
I’ve done that before. I was hoping there might be a more efficient path.

If you want to normalize the chances separately you have to make the channels separate. There is no way around it. Roger’s solution is the only way to treat them separately.
