  Preview does not match render… (Soft flash)

  I’m using the Soft Flash transition effect to change between clips in a dramatic way, because I want each one to fade completely to white and back again. In the preview, it does exactly that. However, it doesn’t in the final render. It only gets about 90% bright before there’s an obvious cut, and I’m not sure how to fix it.

  My project and render settings are the same: 1080p, 60fps, Sony mp4.

  Are you absolutely sure? What Preview quality are you using. Please check this by doing a RAM Build Preview or better Render to New Track.

  I fear that that the Render bitrate isn’t high enough to adjust for the intensive transition you’ve applied. What is the bitrate you’re using? Does your Media match your Project Settings? Have you set your Project Settings to adjust your Media to the Render being used? There are several variables we need to be consistent to get the best “fit”.

  Ben? Have you added a Transition Envelope to the area of the transition?
