Hello, I am doing a camera move on after effect and I would like to match the same move on Maya. Do I have do do it by eye or is there a simpler way. Can we export the camera move directly in Maya. Thanks for your help!

Do the move in Maya. Then save the project (with reference nulls so you know where to put things) as .ma. Then import the .ma into AE.

For the nulls to show up in ae they have to fit the name convention:

    null_whatever
    null_This
    null_That

You need to use a 3d motion tracking software package like boujou. unfortunetly it is very expensive. Remember the word paralaxing: you’ll never forget it.
    good luck.

Why would he need 3D tracking to sync to a 3D camera in Maya? Especially since AE imports the data? If he was matchmoving a filmed image I can clearly see why, but Maya hands it to you no different than Boujou would after doing a track.
