Inserting new events on the timeline
Perhaps I’m missing something very basic. I was previously working in Vegas Pro 10 with no issues. I recently upgraded to Pro 13 and am working on a project. Previously whenever I added video to the timeline, all other events would automatically shift right and I could easily adjust, cross fade, whatever I wanted. I could also easily drag groups of takes left by dragging on the leftmost event or separate them by grabbing the rightmost event. Now whenever I add a new clip to the timeline it overlaps the video to the right instead of being inserted and everything automatically slipping to the right. Am I missing something obvious here?

If I understand you right, Turn on Auto-Ripple. Ctrl-L ..
