DVDA 7 worked really well first time out!!
I have to say, I have had a better experience with DVDA 7 than with DVDA 6….It was faster, and worked better than my more recent burns with version 6.
That being said, there was NOTHING new in regards to buttons, or any other way that it works (that I could tell).Other than AC3, anyone else have any input?
On a side note, how to you all prepare in DVDA and burn in Nero? Tried that and it said my folders were incorrect. I prepared them in DVDA 7 and Nero Express didn’t like it very well.

Hi,
Just finished it, so I can report. A near 34 minutes long single movie PAL DVD with compliant video and audio took 12 seconds to prepare. I have Nero Burning ROM 11, it accepted the video_ts folder without complaints.
Just out of couriosity I prepared the same content with DVDA 6.0, that took 11 seconds, so not a big difference.Best regards

Well they didnt really change anything in DVDA 7, apart from the usual name/licensing changes etc

You can still add ac3 audio to a compilation, and if you add other type of audio, it will be converted to ac3 (if the disc is set to have ac3 and not uncompressed PCM audio).
Just to be more precise, they removed only AC3 pro.
If they wouldn’t do this, there would be absolutely zero change to DVDA6 – from what I see.
And I didn’t expect anything to change…
I really never-ever had any single problem with any recent version of DVDA, while I created different kind of discs from the single movie to more level menu pages with animated buttons and backgrounds, and more audio tracks + subtitles.
No crash, no bug, no annoyance. Just works.
I don’t think, this has to be changed ?Well, looking at DVDA 7.0 I feel I would like to get ac3 pro back.
(And if someone at Magix reads this: please no flat BW icons! Don’t “upgrade” them as did it for Vegas! Just ac3 pro back…)
Others want to see 4K bluray support.
So, there’s only a small room for improvement 🙂Best regards

Short answer from user Cornico on the MAGIX Vegas forum:
1. Copy the file ac3plug.dll from your C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas Pro 13.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\ac3plug
2. Rename it to ac3studioplug.dll
3. Change this file with the ac3studioplug.dll from your C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 14.0\FileIO PlugIns\ac3studioplug.Long answer is this thread where the fix came from. The post from Cornico is at the top of page 3.
