submitting serial number for Vegas13
Posted by Roger Bansemer on October 2, 2016 at 7:11 pmI purchased Vegas 13 from mercalli when they were saying that I’d get Vegas14 free if purchasing 13 at that time.
I’m just now trying to install it and when I submit the serial number it does not take. Is there a new site to register it at as I’m thinking that it’s trying to submit to the old Vegas site.

I bet you meant you purchased from Magix, nor Mercalli. Are you installing version 13 or 14 when having this problem?

You need another serial for V14, V13 format serial does not work.
You should have already got that serial via e-mail from Magix, if you didn’t, check your spam folders.
If you don’t find it, I recommend to contact Magix ASAP.Best regards

I’m trying to install Vegas 13 and the program and serial number I purchased does not work.
I purchased that last minute deal that promised the free upgrade but I’m not ready to try 14 yet.

If it is P3-#####-#####-#####-#####-#####-###### where # stands for numbers only, it seems to be valid only for Vegas14.
If it looks like 1TR-####-####-#### where # can be numbers and letters, then it should be valid for Vegas 13.Best regards

October 3, 2016 at 11:21 amI guess the question is: “Who did you buy Vegas Pro 13.0 from?” Sony? or MAGIX?
I’m going to assume that you bought it from MAGIX since Sony would not have offered you Vegas Pro 14 for free so you should login to your MAGIX account and click on My Products. That should show you a download link and serial number for both Vegas Pro 13 and Vegas Pro 14.

October 3, 2016 at 2:36 pmIt ended up that I had to go into the registry and delete the “license”.
After that it accepted the serial number.
