Excalibur 6 update for Vegas Pro 13
I’ve been working on Excalibur in preparation for the anticipated move to Vegas Pro 14. With the new OFX Titles & Text media generator, it is now possible to write text via a script to the text box. While this has been available in a couple of previous versions, there was a new option added in 13 that really helped with the implementation of QuickLabels. So a new version of Excalibur 6 is available but it will only work in Vegas Pro 13 and now uses Titles & Text for QuickLabels. The updated version can be found here:

In addition, it will use smart alignments. If you place the text on the left side of the screen, each label will be aligned on the left. If you place it on the right side of the screen, each label will be aligned on the right. Similarly, if you place it toward the center of the screen, the labels will be centered.
This is a free update for Excalibur 6 users.

It was working great in my testing with the selected font and font color. I purposely changed those in my testing to make sure all was fine. I’ll take another look at it but may need you to e-mail me an example.

Grazie, please download and install again. It’s the same file name but the version is now 6.13.0.38003
The colors will now properly work.

I can prove that colours correctly reflected in your “SAMPLE” view, are NOT what comes out at the other end.

I then went through ALL the options for the Colour Selection Grid:
As we can see there are 6×8 = 48 options.
I then preceded to methodically repeat each and every selection and made a spreadsheet of the results. “y” = Correct and “x” = Incorrect:
What I found was that only 8 of the 48 colours were correctly reflected in the QuickLabels.
Now, in my opinion, Edward, this leaves you with a dilemma. EITHER leave as it is with a warning OR get together with Madison to establish if there IS a bug and have them squash it. What I really don’t understand is if your QL Preview SAMPLE is correct, why isn’t THIS being carried through to the final operation?
I hope my testing helps you in your efforts to get this sorted out.

Ok, version 6.13.0.32480 is now available at the same link and same file name. It was an issue where Vegas is using values of 0-1 instead of 0-255 and I was passing the standard 0-255.
