  FX 8320 or GTX 950 render?

  Hi all,

  i would like to ask you – what is better for rendering in Sony Vegas with 1080p and 60FPS settings. Rendering via CPU (AMD FX 8320, 4.5 Ghz) or CPU (Nvidia GTX 950) ?

  Neither. The AMD is a horrible processor for video editing (it is weaker than an Intel Core i5) and Vegas Pro doesn’t support the GTX 950 for rendering. So you are stuck with the AMD CPU for renders.

  If you want great performance with Vegas Pro, try an Intel Core i7 CPU and AMD Radeon HD 69xx or 290x GPU.

  Are you sure? Because when i tried to render via GPU and test it – it shows “CUDA available”. That looks like rendering via GPU should be ok.

  If it shows CUDA available then try a render with something like GPUZ running and see if if there is any GPU activity. My understanding is that you need to be using a GTX 5xx or lower for CUDA to work with renders.
