  • How to Split Video and Associated Audio Track in Vegas Pro 12

Posted by Derek Brennan on October 10, 2014 at 5:52 pm

I am a new user of Vegas Pro. I have an embarrassingly simple question. I cannot figure out how to split the video and associated audio track at the same time. When i split I only split the video track. The audio track never splits. This occurs even after I group tracks. I would appreciate any feedback.

Do you happen to have “Ignore Event Grouping” selected?
It’s a Toolbar button and in “Options” as well.

If you click on a single video track, that’s all that will get split.
To split everything, click in a blank space above or below the timeline and then split it.

    Jorma,

Thanks for your help. Ignore Event Grouping was checked. Unchecking this solved my problem.
