  Multiple range DVD extration – workflow tips? (+inverse time range)

  hi All,

  I’ve been given 5 DVDs from a friends dance company. She’d like to make her a small promo video with different ranges.

  I’m wondering if you have any tips on capturing / extracting ranges of DVDs, rather than ripping (this is original content), whole discs to just get parts.

  Another issue is that her time code was backwards (ie. time left) when writing down ranges.

  Anyone have any suggestions on a way to take clips from all these DVDs without copying them all, and how to deal with the inverse time code without doing a whole bunch of math?
