  Please: Problem Creating a Voiceover

  Hi,
  I am currently using Vegas Pro 9.0 I cannot create a simple voiceover in an empty audio track for some reason. I have done it in the past with the same external device, but now I’m receiving the following pop up when I click on the record button;
  “An error occurred while recording. The request is not enabled for this device.”
  I’m sure it probably a button somewhere. I would sincerely appreciate it f you could point me in the right direction. Thanks, Ray

  Have you tried reconnecting the device to your computer since last you used it? It sounds like an OS problem rather than a SVP issue.

  Even turning your computer off, connecting the device and then turning the computer back on may give it the ‘kick’ it needs.

  Otherwise head into (in Windows anyway) your Control Panel/Sounds/Recording and make sure your device is selected. Then maybe have a look at your Audio Device preferences under Options. Good luck.
