Activity Forums VEGAS Pro inserting large audio files

Each bat species uses a different sonar frequency and can thereby be identified by audio surveillance. I run a 7 hour AV surveillance , display the result in Vegas movie studio 11, then extract the audio track into audacity. There I remove extraneous noise and sounds and save the resultant 7 hour audio file. I then import the audio file back into Vegas but only get the first 50 minutes, what happens to the remaining 6 hours and 10 minutes? It seems there is a basic flaw in my strategy.

enjoy yourself, it’s later than you think.

That’s odd. How are you “extracting” it? Try dropping the file that you extract for Audacity back into Vegas without processing it and see what it does. This will eliminate anything Audacity could be doing to the file.
