  • Crashing when rendering.

I’ve looked over the past discussions regarding Vegas rendering when crashing and didn’t see any thing that matched my problem of crashing. Maybe something has come up somewhere that will help that you know about that will help. Where and when or even if it crashes will depend upon the particular project I am working on. In all cases so far it appears to be a still picture. If it just gray’s out I can read the frame number where it happens and I can remove that picture and it will not crash next time unless there is another photo with the same characteristics. Of course that brings up a lot of things to go over but the all take time and someone might already have found the reason.
when going back to the containing folder I saw once that the picture was off line it said. Bill, the better one on the Internet who offers video suggestions on how to solve these kinds of problems said it was the box in preferences that is checked to “save prerenders on active close” to uncheck it but in this case it didn’t work. If the program and windows just plain crashes and comes up with an entirely new desktop picture I have to find the spot where it crashes to do anything. Finding the frame where it crashes helps but if it crashes when I am not looking at it I am going to put a camcorder looking at the frame number. If these pictures are off line how do I put them back. Another way I find the exact frame is render a looped part where I think it is happening. At the moment this is my big beef with Vegas and hope I can solve it as the program is really marvelous. I could say more but I have said enough. Have a nice day.

    Hope to see you
