It seems to be a Vegas default setting that when you “make a Movie” it comes up with a setting to save media markers. I “THINK” I know what a media marker is but do not know why Vegas wants to save the media markers. Could someone give me the reason why Sony puts enough significance on it that it is a default setting? Most markers I put in a Project are usually just a temporary mark and I wipe them out to keep from cluttering up the project. Maybe they have a significance I am not aware of. Your comments are appreciated.

    Hope to see you

I use them to create chapters once I’m in DVD architect.
In the Pro versions of Vegas, the wording on the markers can be exported to DVD Architect as subtitles.
BTW, this option can be disabled/turned off if you have no need for it.

can you make chapters in Vegas movie maker? I have never looked into that. Would be very useful if importing video that is not in chapters.

    Thanks

You create chapters in DVD Architect, not Vegas.
For example, I shoot a lot of plays and have each scene represented as a chapter on the menu screen for selection purposes, just like a commercial DVD.
