Hi. Totally new to vegas but loving it. Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0

Where are the files so I can back it up??!! I have googled and found nothing, which disturbs me. Well, I found this:
    C:\\Users\AppData\Local\Sony\Vegas\10.0\.veg
but in 11 there are no veg files anywhere.

    They not in:
C:\Users\Andrew\Documents\Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0 Projects
    C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Local\Sony\Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum\11.0
    C:\Users\Andrew\Videos
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.0
or anywhere else I can think of

    The help says:
When you save a project, .vf.bak files are created in your project folder to allow you to return to the project’s last-saved state. Creation of backup files is independent of automatic project saving.
But I’m saving away like made and there are no recent files in any of these folders.

    Feeling worried without a backup.

You control where your projects go so you need to be aware of where you are saving things. I like to work on a separate drive dedicated to my video projects. I start each project by creating a folder for it on my video drive. Then I open Vegas Pro (in your case Movie Studio) and I make sure that when I save my project, I navigate to my project folder first. This is a discipline that you must have.

If you don’t know where your project is being saved, go to the Project menu and look below the Exit option on the menu. It should list your recent projects and their path. Use the path to find your .vf file.

You should get in the habit of moving all of your media into your project folder so that you only have one folder that needs to be backed up.

    Andrew,
note that (Vegas) Movie Studio software creates *.vf files, like John R says in his post. The *.veg files are VegasPro only.
